Gaston Lachaise and Louise Bourgeois: A Juxtaposition, ADAA: The Art Show
For the 2014 ADAA The Art Show, Cheim & Read will present an exhibition juxtaposing two French-born sculptors of the twentieth century, Gaston Lachaise and Louise Bourgeois. Both artists moved to New York; Lachaise in 1912 and Bourgeois in 1938, and demonstrated through their art, obsessive interests in sexuality and the human body.
